Disneyland Hong Kong - Day 2

Sooooo continuing my earlier post on Disneyland Hong Kong hehehe..

Our second day was super fun! We had breakfast at Enchanted Garden Restaurant (also located inside Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel), and this restaurant is the only place outside the Disneyland Park where you can meet and greet Disney Characters as they drop by every table. Best opportunity to take photos with them! Too bad Minnie wasn’t there that day..or probably I just missed her.

These characters are so fun to meet because each really acts accordingly to their personality. Goofy was…well, goofy. Daisy was super lady-like, and Pluto was so naughty hehehe…so fun! :)

When eating here, I recommend you to actually take food from the “kids corner” because all the food served here are in the shape of Disney characters tee-hee…some cuteness for the tummy! :)

Then..Disneyland time (again)! Hehehe..I'll be a bit more elaborate in my post this time...:)

FYI, these are how the entry tickets, Fastpass tickets & meal coupons look like...:)

For those who haven’t been to Hong Kong Disneyland, the whole area might seem overwhelming in the beginning, but it’s actually easy to go around as they have divided the place into 5 main areas:

1. Main Street U.S.A
As you enter Hong Kong Disneyland, you’d be walking down the Main Street U.S.A where on your left and right will be souvenir shops and also restaurants...this is my favorite area for taking pictures...:)

2. Tomorrowland
This is one of my favorite areas too because everything here is more tech-ish and outerspace-ish and they have this super cool indoor roller coaster called “Space Mountain”! Imagine riding on a roller coaster but your surrounding is all dark with stars all around. Like a galaxy ride! :)

Space Mountain

Then there’s also the "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters" where you get to sit and laser-shoot at some targets hihihi... It’s ultra awesome because the “ship” where you sit in can rotate 360’ (clockwise & anti-clockwise) so you really feel like you’re in a battle hehehehe. I scored more points than Dina did yay yay yay!

3. Adventureland
I find this place relaxing due to the trees and water surrounding. I underestimated the “Jungle River Cruise” but turns out it’s very entertaining due to the very funny host hehehe. Hillarious when she said, “thank you so much to those who laughed at my jokes. I hope to see you again soon. And to those who didn’t laugh, I’m happy for your leaving”...:D

In Adventureland, there’s one eating place called "Tahitian Place" where you can find Halal food as well as Indian food...thank God (because I’m very particular about this)! They serve dishes like Chicken Curry, Chicken Korma, Chicken Satay, aaannnd my favorite Chicken Tandoori hehehe…:)

4. Fantasyland
This is the best place for kids especially girls. Everything here is dreamy! I very much enjoyed the 4D show in “Mickey’s PhilharMagic”...:)

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – highly recommended if you’re bringing kids PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

And lastly...

5. Toy Story Land
My faaavvvoooriiite! This new area is awesome to the max...all so colorful and well-conceptualized! Here, we get to experience the feeling of being shrunk to the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard, hence the figurines that are made waaaay bigger than us...cool concept, yes? I loved loved loved their newest half-pipe roller coaster "RC Racer" – an ultimate MUST for thrill-seekers *pointing at myself*

The two other rides are also worth a try: "Toy Soldier Parachute Drop" and "Slinky Dog Spin".

Ended the day having dinner at Walt’s Cafe back at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel...sooooo tired but happy! :)

Flew back the next day using Garuda Airlines...did you know they won Best International Airlines Award? So proud and they totally deserve it! Slept the whole way back while listening to Adele, Foster The People and Florence & The Machine from the plane's playlist...they provide an awwesssome collection of music and movies! The overall flight was also smooth with no delay, and all the stewardesses were very friendly and helpful in terms of making us feel comfortable during the 4 hours flight...I honestly recommend you guys to take Garuda Airlines if going to Hong Kong.. :)

To summarize my whole experience, there is not one ride that failed to amuse me. No matter how kiddish or no-thrill a ride might seem, it’s all so worth the sit because they all end up very entertaining. For real! Disneyland Hong Kong is simply MAGICAL. They make us happy no matter how old we are. Love you, Mickey! :)
